Ritual We are an egalitarian, conservative synagogue where women participate fully in all parts of the service. Our members participate fully in the services including leading Shacharit, the Torah Service and Musaf as well as laning Torah and chanting Haftorah on a voluntary basis. All are welcome. Daily Evening Minyan is held Sunday through Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Shabbat Services are held Friday evenings at 8:00 p.m. & Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. All children are invited to attend our Shabbat morning Junior Congregation services. Through the course of the year we conduct Family Shabbatons as well as host Friday night Shabbat dinners and Saturday luncheons. Our Friday evening service, which begins at 8:00 pm, is a joyous welcoming of Shabbat. It is casual and child-friendly. MHJC has always been a congregation run by congregants. Our members often lead many parts of services and are instrumental in constructing the service. The Ritual Committee has always been proactive in maintaining this philosophy. While the Rabbi is always the ultimate authority on Halacha and practice, the Rabbi and the Ritual Committee always have been and always will remain open to suggestion from any congregant on religious practice here. Join us . . . Join our MHJC family
